1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Step Up Boards ("Step Up Boards", "we", "us", or "our"), including our website and platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Step Up Boards is an online study platform that provides multiple-choice questions, explanations, and practice tests to help podiatrists and podiatric trainees prepare for their board examinations.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use Step Up Boards. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when you register and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Accounts are for a single individual — you may not share your account or allow others to use it.

4. Phone Verification and SMS

We verify your phone number as part of creating your account. By providing your phone number, you agree to receive text messages from Step Up Boards, which may include verification codes and occasional promotional messages. Message frequency varies, and standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing texts at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for help. 5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments

Access to Step Up Boards requires a paid subscription. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your card details. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your account. All sales are final. Except where required by law, all subscription payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for any reason once a subscription is purchased, including for partial billing periods or unused time. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund amounts you have already paid.

6. License and Acceptable Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to access and use Step Up Boards for your own exam preparation. You agree not to:

• copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, or publicly display any questions, explanations, or other content;
• share your account or your access with any other person;
• scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract content from the platform;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the service;
• remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the materials; or
• use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that disrupts or harms it.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate any of these restrictions. In particular, sharing a paid account with, or allowing it to be used by, any other person is a serious violation of these Terms: we may immediately and permanently ban the account without notice, and no refund will be provided.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Step Up Boards, including questions, answer explanations, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Step Up Boards or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the limited license granted above, no rights are transferred to you.

8. Educational Disclaimer

Step Up Boards is a study aid intended to support your exam preparation. Our content is for educational purposes only and is not medical advice and should not be relied upon for the diagnosis or treatment of any patient. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, exam score, or that you will pass any board examination. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any board or certifying organization.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service and all materials are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content is accurate, complete, or current.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Step Up Boards and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Step Up Boards and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if you breach these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. By continuing to use the service after changes take effect, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the service are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Privacy

Your use of Step Up Boards is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information.
